BRUSSELS SPROUT SALAD + PEPPER JELLY VINAIGRETTE

Hi, all! Abbye, here. Let me tell you about this salad. Emily + I do a lot of private dinner parties for our clients and we have served this salad many times to rave reviews! The first time we served it was at our very first Bar + Bite charity dinner at Tatum’s Pubshed, alongside the most amazing little goat cheese and tomato jam bison sliders. I hesitated to serve brussels sprouts at a pub dinner, but YOU GUYS it was a crowd fav for reasons I can not explain. People like things I never think they will and then I question life for a few days.

I wanted to take something earthy and seasonal like brussels sprouts and make it super southern – because that’s just what we are around here. But then I added pears and bacon for obvious reasons. And then… pepper jelly – which is basically one of the most southern things ever in the history of the south.

Let’s get down to business. The food is why we are here, right? This salad is really easy and it’s just a showstopper! Shave some raw brussels with a sharp knife (or throw them in your food processor with the slicing blade if you have it) and then toss it with smokey bacon, diced pears and pepper jelly vinaigrette. Soooo damn good and about as southern as you can get while still getting some raw greens in your body.

Thanks so much for stopping by – we sure are glad when you do. We would love it if you would share Salt + Charm with your people. Share these posts on your Insta or Facebook feeds and be sure to tag us! We love to feature our tribe in our Insta stories as a thank you!

We sure do love you all! (especially YOU!)
