Villa Alpini 2019 Pinot Grigio, Fruili, Italy

Notes of green apple, apricot, pear, tropical fruits, honeydew, light floral notes, and light oak.

The Pinot Grigio comes from high quality grapes, only from hillside sits in Collio and Cillo Orientali. The vine age is between 10-25 years, farmed organically, with no use of herbicides. After a light pressing, aging is in stainless steel for 8 months, with bâtonnage once a month. The wine show lots of freshness and mineralogy, with vibrant acidity and the right weight. $20

Railsback Frères 2019 "Comme Vous Voulez" Santa Ynez, California

Grenache and Syrah blend with aromas and notes of ripe red fruit with a touch of citrus peel, a hint of spice, earthiness and minerality on the back end.

Dark red fruits, warm baking spices; medium body with medium tannin; very easy drinking wine. $19

Terre Rouge 2014 Syrah

100% Syrah from the oldest Syrah plantings in their Sierra Foothills, planted around 1982; the vineyard sits at about 1600 feet on a south facing slope and is planted to Chapoutier Hermitage clones; the fruit is open top fermented on the skins for about 2 weeks with regular punch downs; the fermented wine is then aged 23 months in French oak. Bold, spicy, well-structured makes a big impact on the palate. Cedar, clove and black pepper aromas lead to rich, ripe blackberry and dried plum flavors, while firm tannins and good acidity lend both grip and texture. Known to age well, this wine will be best after 2022. 93 Rating Wine Enthusiast! $52
